In 1993, Dr. Brian Green, a visionary pioneer, recognized the need to futurer individuals and caregivers through quality care, education and support services locally and globally. His unique concept of offering "Help Along the Way" came together in the formation of Christian Health Associates (CHA) two years later.

The last ten years have seen the cultivation of the idea as it has grown and evolved to a thriving, multi-faceted organization with local and global impact. The success of CHA lies in the nurturing of the varied associates that operate under the CHA umbrella. The continued vision of this unified front is to strengthen organizational ties in communities and to maximize and leverage resources through shared infrastructures.

In the health care arena CHA is increasing access to local health care for low income uninsured members of the community. CHA accomplishes this through participation in the furtherance of the goals of the Anchorage Access to Health Care Coalition in implementing Anchorage Project Access.

Cornerstone Clinic, Medical & Counseling Center provides a range of clinical services that help people physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

In the areas of humanitarian aid CHA connects resources in the United States to urgent needs for medical supplies and other aid in developing areas all over the world through Alaska Medical Missions (AMM). AMM has sent over 400 shipments of medical supplies and equipment to 69 counties in the last five years.

CHA participates in the Faith-based and Community Initiative by supporting the capacity building of emerging faith organizations through technical assistance, shared resources and administrative support services.

To facilitate and encourage the linkages of the faith and community resources, CHA employs a Faith and Community Liaison who helps promote trust and understanding as well as acting as a contact point for the community and faith-based organizations.

Together with these organizations, CHA is able to reach into many more local and global communities.
